Welcome to my April Last Dance/Last Chance series. If you love cute critters, check out Playing in the Rain. The dies include delightful clouds, a fence, a kite, and of course those cute critters!
Stamps: Playing in the Rain, Translucent Floral
Color Palette: Basic White, Petal Pink, Azure Afternoon, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive,MementoBlack
Accessories: Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Playing in the Rain dies, Bright Skies dies, Toadstool Gardens DSP, Brights DSP pack, Colored Pencils, Stampin’ Dimensionals
These are not the Playing in the Rain clouds, they’re Bright Skies clouds. They’re much bigger, and that worked best for this layout. I colored that bunny with our colored pencils to achieve a softer appearance. I think that bunny has serious Easter Bunny energy!
Check out the Playing in the Rain Stamps and Dies to see if that’s your kind of Bunny (or Turtle, or Foxy) Energy. And thanks for stopping by!

Mister Maui Stamper and I went to a wonderful baby One Year Birthday Party last weekend at a local beach park. There were lots of babies and baby mamas and papas and we were blessed to be part of it. Such a special event called for a special card, and I reached for my favorite turtle since this was an “O-FISH-AL” birthday party:
Stamps: Playing in the Rain, Attention Shoppers
Color Palette: Basic White, Pool Party, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Peach Pie, Memento Black
Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Playing in the Rain dies, Blending Brush, Stampin’ Blends, Transparent Adhesive Back Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I used the Blending Brush to put down a soft wash of Pool Party as a backdrop. I struggle with a watercolor wash, and the Blending Brush is much easier for me. I added a little Pool Party to the bottom of the clouds in the same way, giving them some depth. I colored the turtle and the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and put it all together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Playing in the Rain images are whimsical enough to work for adults, but they’re equally suited for children. They’re from a past mini catalog, so you might have missed them. Find them in the Online Store.

The Rainbows of Happiness bundle has been such a hot item that it’s currently out of stock – but mark your calendars, as it is due back in the warehouse the week of March 7 (fingers crossed!) Today I’ve paired it with the Basic Borders dies and the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP (available for free as a Sale-a-bration selection, but hurry – you have until February 28th.)
Stamps: Celebrate With Friends
Color Palette: Basic White, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo
Accessories: Big Boss, Basic Borders dies, Rainbow Brilliance dies, Here for You dies, Cloud Punch, Simply Marbelous Designer Series Paper (SAB 2022), Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series paper (SAB 2022), Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I was inspired by THIS CARD (thank you, Mikaela) but I wanted to use the clouds from the Sunshine & Rainbow DSP. Oh so coincidentally 😏, they fit PERFECTLY in our Cloud Punch (which I am sorry to report is also currently unavailable, but is expected in the warehouse on March 28th). I punched out a full page of clouds and cloud pieces, then set to work deciding how to use them.
This doesn’t have to be a baby card at all, but that’s how I intend to use it. I made a second version using Bermuda Bay as an accent color instead of Flirty Flamingo, and I moved the clouds around. I also used the Sunshine & Rainbow DSP behind the opening instead of Simply Marbelous.
And then, just for fun, I changed the sentiment. This one is from the Sale-a-bration 2022 stamp set Special Moments, and it’s full of not-so-everyday messages for all types of everyday occasions.
What do you think? Which of these 3 versions really hits the mark? It was certainly a very pleasant afternoon spent making them. There’s some urgent business at hand though: Sale-a-bration 2022 (1st round!) ENDS on Monday, February 28th. If you’d like that Simply Marbelous DSP, or the Special Moments stamps, or the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP, get your fingers clickin’ and head over to the Online Store before close of business (11:59 pm Mountain Time) on Monday!

Little Elephant is one of my favorite animal stamp sets. It’s whimsical, but it’s not cartoonish. Does that make sense? I created a baby card using this same template in yellows and greys, and wanted to try it in pink. I chose Rococco Rose, and I haven’t decided if it’s too dark for a baby. What do you think?
Once you make a template for the Stamparatus, the wreath cards are super simple! I have a few more to share with you, and I have a feeling that won’t be the end of them, either. Every time I look at a new stamp set now, I imagine it as a wreath!
I’m on a Stamparatus Wreath Carousel and I can’t get off!!
You know how it is…you’re staring at your craft supplies waiting for inspiration…and WHAM!! It happened to me recently with this Little Elephant. Maybe someone else has already done this, but it’s new to me!
The sentiment is from Little Elephant too, and I thought it was just right – especially with that little bird. The 1 1/4″ circle punch is now retired, but there are plenty of dies available that will give you this look. Confession: I was lazy and the punches were convenient!
The tiniest pearls make perfect eyes without the comic effect that a googly eye would give. I may go back with a Sharpie and add a little black accent to the pearls, as it gives them more dimension.
Just one more day to take advantage of the great value in this month’s demonstrator kit promotion! There’s an extra $30 in product added to the $125 that you normally select in your kit, and the $99 cost includes tax and shipping. There’s no obligation – take a look HERE and if it’s right for you, don’t hesitate!
