I’m crossing my fingers that the Perennial Postage dies stick around for a while. I especially like the look I get when I mask off the edges. They were perfect for this special Galentine:
I masked the edges of the large die cut to create that “postage stamp” look. I also masked off the mailbox and the circle in the middle of the “postmark”. I’ll tell you a secret: masking the mailbox was to make it easier. 😉 I used the Blending Brushes to create the backgrounds, and let me tell you, they are SO forgiving!
The sentiments in Sending Love are perfect. I like to use this one on the back of the envelope, too.
Hope your Valentines’ Day is sweet!

Can you stand one more Slice and Slide card? This one is very girly, all Pretty in Pink. I love working with In Colors because they are packed into so many collections – card stock, Designer Series Paper, markers, embellishments, you name it. It makes coordination so easy.
Stamps: Layers of Beauty, Bee My Valentine
Color Palette: Basic White, Memento Black, Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Soft Seafoam
Accessories: 24-26 In Color Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Blends, 24-26 In Color Shimmer Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals
This is only half of the Layers of Beauty stamp, but using it this way leaves plenty of room for the sentiment. I slipped some Petunia Pop in there with Pretty in Pink because, well, it needed the POP!
Layers of Beauty is a 24-25 Annual Catalog bundle. It comes with stamps, dies and a set of masks designed to making the shading easy. I chose to use Stampin’ Blends for this card, but the masks are simple to use and do a beautiful job.
I know it’s only February, but it’s time to start thinking about the end of the 24-25 Annual Catalog. (Sorry, it’s the way my brain works.) If you’ve been meaning to add this bundle to your shopping cart, Sale-a-bration is a great time to do that. If Layers of Beauty is available after the catalog ends, it will most likely not be available as a bundle. Just sayin’.

Do you have trouble sending cards – and sending them on time? I am working on a new system featuring our gorgeous new Perpetual Calendar, but in order to make it work I need to have cards made. Why are the obvious things so hard?
Stamps: Bee My Valentine, Elements of Text, Happy Hibiscus, Spotlight on Nature
Color Palette: Basic White, Bubble Bath, Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock
Accessories: Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Spotlight on Nature dies, Happy Hibiscus dies, Watercolor Pencils, Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon, 24-26 In Color Shimmer Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I used a lot of different stamps to add visual texture, including the glorious Elements of Text. Have you added it to your crafty stash? You’re going to love it, I promise.
These colors aren’t super traditional, but they’re not too far off. What do you think? Do they work?
And do yourself a favor: add Elements of Text to your shopping cart and push the button. You’ll be so glad you did.

The Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder is a bit of a sleeper. Just look at these gorgeous hearts – and the folder cuts out 9 at a time! Who knew? The Annual Catalog is full of surprises.
Stamps: Delightful Wishes, Bee My Valentine (inside)
Color Palette: Basic White, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade
The white panel on the front of the card has a tab that slips between the Poppy Parade card base and the DSP. I used Tear ‘n Tape (aka TNT) on both sides of the tab to make sure it stayed put. Once it was secure, I added the layers of Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade.
This is a perfect Valentine for someone you love, but see often enough that there’s nothing more to say than “Happy Valentine’s Day”. There’s just enough room to sign your name with a bunch of X’s and O’s.
Go check out that Hybrid Embossing Folder. The hearts pop out in an assortment of designs and you’ll have a gorgeous stack to play with in a heartbeat. Throw in a package of Country Lace DSP while you’re at it – it goes with absolutely everything. And don’t forget – Sale-a-bration runs through February 28th. Get your free stuff cuz you deserve it.

I know we haven’t even finished the leftover turkey, and the jolly old elf isn’t just waiting in the wings – he’s omnipresent! But I have a little sneak peek for Valentines that I hope you’ll enjoy:
Stamps: Bee My Valentine
Color Palette: Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Petal Pink, Memento Black, Black Stazon
One of my favorite Stampin’ Up! perks is our demonstrator-only events. Whether they’re in person, as was Backstage Leadership in Las Vegas, or online, as was our most recent Onstage@Home, our events are full of inspiration, comraderie and fun. AND we can order sneak peeks from the upcoming January-April mini 😁
This die from the Scallop Contours dies is just a little too wide for the Nested Treat Box, but with a little creating die cutting, I reduced the width. Cut the shape, then re-position the die over the shape at the size you want. Align the scallops on the shape with the scallops on the die and run it through the Stamp Cut and Emboss machine only until you’re halfway through the shape. Voila!
I fussy-cut these bees from the Designer Series paper and tucked them on the bottom of the box for a little “Easter Egg”.
If you’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demo or customer of eons, you might remember these buttons. I forget what they were called, but I have a few boxes of them in my “this might be useful someday” stash. They make PERFECT little feet for the Nested Treat box!
My bees have proper wings made from Vellum – I stamped them with Stazon and let them dry, then punched them with the Bee Builder punch. A little Wink of Stella gives them some shimmer (as a proper bee wing should have!
You’ll have to wait until January for this – unless of course you want to be a demonstrator. If you’re interested, reach out to me to learn more or proceed directly to GO!

Happy Valentines Day, my crafty friends! I have one more Valentine for you using the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. This time I’ve paired it with the Color and Contour stamp set. It’s an older set so you might have it – you could whip this card up this afternoon for last minute giving! (Well. Assuming you have nothing else that is demanding of your time. Quite the assumption.)
Stamps: Color and Contour, Country Bouquet, Friendly Gnomes
Color Palette: Basic White, Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue
Accessories: Big Boss, Scalloped Contour dies, Stitched Rectangle dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Blends, White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals
You might have seen versions 1 and 2 of this card a few days ago in THIS post. The change in DSP makes a big difference – there’s a lot of (Balmy) Blue in this version and it just FEELS different. Gotta love our DSP.
I keep a stash of pre-cut Basic White panels measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ next to my primary work space. All of my cards have an interior white panel, even if they’re a lighter color. I like the crisp look of that white panel on the interior, and I think it’s a beautiful finishing touch. It makes any interior stamping stand out as well.
To borrow a concept, I did a Love It Chop It move on this entire pack of DSP. I don’t always love EVERY design in a package, but I sure loved Floral Bouquet! It’s a great balance of large and small, monochromatic and colorful designs with very appealing colors. You might just need to get yourself a package to see.
There’s still time! You can make someone’s day a little brighter doing something you love! Give a Valentine or two to someone who won’t be expecting one. ❤️ And Happy Valentines Day from the Maui Stamper 😘

It’s nearly Valentines Day, my crafty friends! I’ve combined the Happiness Abounds bundle with the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper to create a pair of sweet Valentines. Check your stash of stamps and papers, because I’ll bet you have the supplies to make this card. (If you don’t, hurry off to the Online Store.)
Stamps: Happiness Abounds, Country Bouquet, Friendly Gnomes
Color Palette: Basic White, Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron
Accessories: Big Boss, Blossoming Happiness dies, Stitched Rectangle dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Blends, White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals
The colors in this paper are perfect for Valentines, but they don’t insist on it. This could be a Valentine, a birthday card, a girlfriend card, or a just-because-you’re-so-amazing card. I need to send more of those. I made this one a Valentine, and the “Love You” sentiment comes from Friendly Gnomes – that’s all I used from the set.
One of the delights of our DSP is that the colors, patterns and designs are so easy to mix and match. I flipped things around a bit, and colored the Happiness Abounds flowers with Sweet Sorbet instead of Petal Pink. One design will give you a lot of cards.
It helps to think out your panel sizes before you start cutting. 😉 Our 12 x 12 DSP yields 6 panels measuring 4″ wide and 5 1/4″ tall if you cut carefully. That’s a perfect card front layer, and you’ll still have a nice 1 1/2″ x 12″ strip to play with.
This is a standard 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base with that 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP layer. The smaller DSP panel is cut from the 4th Stitched Rectangle die (counting from largest down to smallest) and the card stock behind it is 2 3/4″ x 4 1/8″. You can do this!!
Whether you choose this design or one of your own, a paper Valentine sent through the mail is a message of love. You can make someone’s day a little brighter doing something you love! Send a Valentine or two to someone who won’t be expecting one. ❤️

I love templates that yield great results without a lot of effort. The Z-Fold card created with the Country Floral Lane Designer Series paper requires one extra score line and a focal panel that you would have made anyway, right? Take a look:
Stamps: Country Bouquet
Color Palette: Basic White, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink
Accessories: Big Boss, Deckle Rectangle dies, Water painter, Country Floral Lane DSP, Country Gingham DSP, Country Bouquet Punch,Stampin’ Dimensionals
Unfortunately, the Country Bouquet punch is out of stock until the week of April 17th. Maybe you have another heart punch or some dies that will do the trick! This template would work with a lot of different patterns. Let yourself be inspired!
I scored the front panel 2 1/2″ from the center fold of the card, leaving 1 3/4″ to turn back towards the card front. I used a big sheet of Country Floral Lane DSP on the inside of the card because I liked the look, but also because it left just a small panel to write a note. Sometimes you don’t have a lot to say – but what you do want to say is important.
I used a similar pairing of these papers for some Valentines earlier this month (see it HERE). The mix of patterns, colors, and monochrome designs make it easy to put together a card that pops, but nicely. Happy Valentines Day to all my crafty friends!

I have one last Valentine, a love letter, if you will. I’ve used a combination of products, but the foundation is the Hand-Penned Petals bundle. You won’t find colors like these in nature, but that’s irrelevant: reinventing what you see is what creativity is all about.
Stamps: Hand-Penned Petals, Love & Happiness
Color Palette: Basic White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Pool Party, Soft Succulent, Just Jade
The Basic Patterns Decorative Masks have sat neglected on my craft desk for an embarrassing amount of time. I’ve left them out, in the way and looking as though they ought to be picked up and put away, just to be sure I use them more. I LIKE them. They’re SIMPLE to use. They add a 💥 to any project.
One of the reasons I love Hand-Penned Petals so much is (wait for it, you know it’s coming) I love to color. These flowers have enough detail to inspire me to try something different each time, but not so much as to be exhausting. Yeah, I know you’re not supposed to have brown leaves, that’s kind of a bad thing in the real, garden world. But don’t you think it works here?
I added a little more stenciling with the mask on the inside of the card. Detailing the inside of the card and the envelope are little extras that help to focus the hand-made nature of a hand-made card. It’s another way of saying “I love you.”
You don’t need a special occasion to send this card, or any other card. Write a few lines inside – copy a couple of lines of poetry or steal something from social media. You don’t need to be all Shakespearean about it, and it doesn’t have to be perfect to be very, very good.
If you’ve never tried our masks, today is a great day – and with just a couple of days left to take advantage of Sale-a-bration, if you hurry, you’ll get something wonderful for free! Shop HERE.

Happy Valentines Day, dear readers. While this is typically a day all about romantic love, I assure you that each one of you is beloved and absolutely wonderful just as you are! Today I’m sending each of you Valentine Greetings:
Stamps: Hand-Penned Petals, Love and Happiness
Color Palette: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla,Basic Black, Pool Party, Soft Succulent, Just Jade
Accessories: Big Boss, Penned Flowers dies, Stitched Rectangle dies, Stampin’ Blends, In Good Taste DSP, Blender Pen, Linen Thread, Daubers
There’s a lot going on here. This was decidedly a MORE IS MORE kinda card! I had an idea when I began, and while this resembles my idea it is definitely it’s own creation. It kept growing until I finally shouted out loud “STOP” because that is the only way it happens. (There is a lot of muttering, exclaiming, and general one-sided conversation in my craft room. It can be frightening for the unaware.)
Note: I stamped and colored the Hand-Penned image on Basic White card stock, then filled all the white parts with Crumb Cake. I’m not brave enough to work on colored card stock, but I didn’t want that BRIGHT white on the front of this card so I covered it up!
I stamped the leaves directly onto the DSP, put the image on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and tucked some unwound Linen Thread under the corner. I stamped and die cut the greeting, but decided it needed a little brush with the dauber before it went on the card.
There’s a little surprise inside as well – I masked the leaves and used a Blender Pen to soften the color once I’d gotten them all in place. I am having a dreadful problem with smudging these days and need to pay closer attention to my fingers – it is very annoying.
I did a lot of intentional smudging directly on the DSP with daubers – I wanted the color of the DSP to be a little closer to Crumb Cake, but when I used that ink it seemed a little yellow hued to me. So I added little sprinkles with my Early Espresso marker, and then I put some ink in water and used a paint brush to drop bigger little sprinkles (I think that might have been the point when I yelled STOP.)
If you don’t have these supplies now, you’re going to need to get creative to make a Valentine for today. Not to worry, this card would make a lovely birthday card as well! You can find all the supplies HERE.
