I needed a BUNCH of Halloween treats for some very special people:
They didn’t take long, they were fun to put together, and I learned that one package of Smarties has a Weight Watcher’s Points Plus value of 1. (That’s a very good thing!)
The Smarties fit perfectly into the 1″ x 8″ cello bags, and the Framelits Labels are just the right size to create a topper. A simple pumpkin, a couple strands of ribbon, and too could be ready for a heap of trick or treaters. (Or grown up trick or treaters…just saying.
Seriously, you still have time to put some of these together for the ghosties and goblins on your route!
Whoa, hang on, crafters!
Through October 28th there are 25 sets available at 25% off! Log in to http://www.AnneMatasci.StampinUp.net to save big!  Click HERE for the list of stamps sets being discounted!
And if that’s not enough, TODAY only (October 24) you can add a list of goodies that are specially priced for Thank You Thursday. HURRY!! TODAY ONLY!!

You just have to listen to him say “Ho ho ho” to know he’s the kind of guy who would wear a big shiny belt buckle:
We sparkled up the Bag-in-a-box with some silver Glimmer paper at ACCE. That stuff is seriously awesome, although when you cut it sometimes little bits of blingy-ness come loose and fly around the craft room. So far we haven’t had any Glitter Issues, because I have been vigilant with the stick-vac. One of these days I know I’m gonna push it too far and there will be a meeting of the minds 🙂
We had a few crafters who were unable to attend at the last minute, and hopefully they’ll be able to assemble their packets based on our photos. There’s a tutorial HERE that will help too. You could adapt the dimensions to create different size packages. The key is the glimmer paper!
I made a couple of these in different papers from the Season of Style 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack. This one totally cracked me up when I finished it because it looks just like pajamas to me. Santa must have a velvet dressing gown to go with these!
Nothing says “I love you” like a gift in a CUTE PACKAGE:
Seriously…a box this cute practically guarantees an awesome gift. And the belly-band slides on and off so easily that it can be used again and again! Share the love!
The trick to creating the Mosaic Punch embellishment is to build it on a 1 3/4 inch circle base. The addition of a ginormous pearl embellishment and the elevating properties of Stampin’ Dimensionals add the finishing touches.
Santa is getting his Washi Tape groove going on this grungaliscious card. Crystal adapted an earlier design and we all loved this look. Washi is even better than post-its! It peels off the wall very nicely too – you’ll se it at Christmas time in my house holding up just about everything.
Today is the last day to take advantage of the best joining opportunity Stampin’ Up! has ever offered. A couple of clicks plus $25 and you can be a card-carrying, stamp-slinging Official Demonstrator! You’ve got until 11:50pm Mountain standard time (that’s 7:50pm Hawaii standard time) to satisfy your curiosity. Start HERE.
And if that’s not enough, today is the last day for these DEALS – there will be fresh ones tomorrow!
I think it’s fall, y’all…
And if those leaves were shaped a little differently that would look quite a bit like the plumeria tree in my back yard.
But we are celebrating Autumn, the season of crisp air, apples and pears, and falling leaves. Or on Maui, the return of the snowbirds, the first humpback sighting, and lilikoi season!
I’m hooked on these Thinlets cards – fun, easy AND a guaranteed wow! The “DSP” panel on the front is a piece of Very Vanilla card stock cut with the Thinlets die and trimmed to fit.
Funny how much difference placement can make…this was my first attempt with this idea:
This feels all wrong to me – the front panel is receding, the back panel is approaching, and the whole thing feels out of balance. When I re-made the card (and realized how much better the falling leaves stamp suited the theme) I was much happier. And that’s what counts in my book 🙂
While I was playing with these stamps, I inked a few of the images in Smokey Slate. Not sure why I chose that color, but I loved the muted look. (It made me happy…see above.) I tried them out as gift cards:
The ultimate in simplicity – perhaps too simple for some, but not for me. Perhaps a single word in the corner, perhaps not…I just loved it. I tried them all:
This bucket of apples worked so well with the Smokey Slate! Featuring just one of the apples gave this image a pop! without being overwhelming.
I wouldn’t normally put Tangerine Tango with Smokey Slate, but I had a theme going here! Black would have been too sharp, and would have evoked more of the feeling of Halloween.
My little friend the tree wasn’t so sure she liked being stamped in Slate, but she agreed to be a good sport and play along.
And here’s the Slate family portrait. I could imagine doing this with other neutrals – and with others from this 25th Anniversary Collection.
Follow the tour to Andi Potler to see what she has to share – I’m sure you’ll be delighted!

I’m GREAT at planning ahead…not so great at getting it done. That’s why I love ACCE – it helps me to get a few Christmas things set aside.
These are quick-as-can-be thanks to stamps that coordinate perfectly with punches and the Season of Style designer series paper.
Crystal designed these 3 x 3 enclosure cards as a little bonus project for ACCE. She used Very Merry Tags and the Christmas Collectibles stamp set with the coordinating Ornament punch (and that shape keeps showing up – it’s in the Best of Christmas set too!).
Don’t forget – the $25 Joining Offer from Stampin’ Up! ends this Monday! You’ve got just a few days to get $26.95 in product plus a business kit for $25. More than that, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the demonstrator website and Stampin’ Connection, the demonstrator’s creative forum.

Have you asked yourself “What if…?” What if I became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator…for just $25!? Time is running out…what if you miss it?
Our annual holiday crafting kickoff is always such a good time. You would think I could remember to take some photos during the day – but no…
This week I’ll share the projects we made. I’m not giving step-by-step instructions, but you’re all so clever you’ll figure it out 🙂
This clever bag a la gift card holder was inspired by Cathy Parlitsis.  The big, beautiful bow from the Sizzix Bigz Bow die seemed like a natural on the front! The bag is folded to create a pocket on the front as well as one at the top for a little note card.
I fiddled around with different ways of making the gift card accessible from the pocket, but ultimately found that a simple solution worked the best. This is just a piece of card stock folded with enough offset to create a little tab at the top. There’s a piece of washi across the front and a little message at the top – you could do more, but why?  This was handled a lot during our classes, so I used a glue dot to secure the gift card to the “lifter”, but it really isn’t necessary.
I’m looking forward to playing with this idea a little more – the variations are endless. I guess that’s what we all love so much about stamping, isn’t it? If you’d like to learn more, I hope you’ll join the Maui Stampers team. For just $25 you’ll get a business pack to get you rolling plus $26.95 in Stampin’ Up! product. There’s no risk and oh-so-much to gain – learn more HERE

Welcome to the Maui Stamper edition of the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour!
We are featuring two sets – Harvest of Thanks and the Christmas Ornament stamp and punch set. Here on Maui, while we are VERY VERY thankful, we don’t use a lot of the traditional harvest-associated images. Now, if Stampin’ Up! came up with a stamp set showing how sugar cane is harvested, or the line of pickers than go through a pineapple field, well, THAT would be a Harvest stamp set I could use!! But I digress…I am skipping ahead to Christmas.
I wanted to play with these little ornaments. We’ve had ornament sets and punches in the past, and I wanted to do something different. It occurred to me that they were shaped a bit like a lightbulb, and that made a big lightbulb go off in my head! (I’ll bet you wish you’d been there to see it!)
I stamped and punched a small heap of ornaments, used the pokey doodle (Hey, Heather Summers calls it that and I can too) to put little holes at the top, and strung them on Linen Thread (please, PLEASE, Stampin’ Up! – don’t EVER retire Linen Thread.)
There’s a giant EASY BUTTON on this project – it would be fun and pretty stress-free to do with little kids, a class full of bored 4th graders, or just about anyone who wanted an alternative to stringing popcorn. You could step it up in so many ways…but not today.
I wouldn’t turn really little kids loose on this one…but it’s another fun one! Stamp and punch 6 ornaments, score them down the middle and adhere them back to back. Before you stick the last two sides together (I use Tombo, the Wonder Adhesive) slip a little beading wire twisted with a loop on top into the fold. Slip a bead on the other end and then slide the ends into your paper tassle.
The paper tassel is just a strip of paper (mine was 2 1/2″ by 6″) cut almost to the top at 1/8″ or 1/16″ increments. It is VERY easy to do with our paper trimmer – it slides through that DSP like buttah – but you need to go slowly as you begin each cut. Put some SNAIL across the top, roll it up, and cover it with a little bit of ribbon and you have a tassel!
The possibilities are endless!
That’s all for me today – but for more (practically endless!) possibilities, continue on through the RemARKable tour. Robin is next and I’m sure you’ll love her crafty genius!
