Quickie Christmas Enclosures

I’m GREAT at planning ahead…not so great at getting it done. That’s why I love ACCE – it helps me to get a few Christmas things set aside.

These are quick-as-can-be thanks to stamps that coordinate perfectly with punches and the Season of Style designer series paper.

Crystal designed these 3 x 3 enclosure cards as a little bonus project for ACCE. She used Very Merry Tags and the Christmas Collectibles stamp set with the coordinating Ornament punch (and that shape keeps showing up – it’s in the Best of Christmas set too!).

It was an Extravaganza!

Our annual holiday crafting kickoff is always such a good time. You would think I could remember to take some photos during the day – but no…

This week I’ll share the projects we made. I’m not giving step-by-step instructions, but you’re all so clever you’ll figure it out 🙂

This clever bag a la gift card holder was inspired by Cathy Parlitsis. The big, beautiful bow from the Sizzix Bigz Bow die seemed like a natural on the front! The bag is folded to create a pocket on the front as well as one at the top for a little note card.

I fiddled around with different ways of making the gift card accessible from the pocket, but ultimately found that a simple solution worked the best. This is just a piece of card stock folded with enough offset to create a little tab at the top. There’s a piece of washi across the front and a little message at the top – you could do more, but why? This was handled a lot during our classes, so I used a glue dot to secure the gift card to the “lifter”, but it really isn’t necessary.

I’m looking forward to playing with this idea a little more – the variations are endless. I guess that’s what we all love so much about stamping, isn’t it? I’m sorry about the retired stamps and the Googlie eyes – these monthly calendar cards were done as a class in January of this year, and this stamp set was current back then! Those Googlie Eyes were one of the best ideas the Home Office had, and these goofy characters are my favorite Halloween images ever. So sad they’re both retired.

ACCE: Anne and Crystal’s Christmas Extravaganza

Crystal and I have been putting on a Christmas stamp camp for a few years. This year it’s October 12 – coming soon!

By now, you’ve figured out that I am fundamentally lazy – and I like to abbreviate. We began calling our stamp camp the Christmas Extravaganza, then added in our names, and now refer to it as ACCE – “ace” if you want to say it out loud.

One of our classes is a packages class – two boxes, a bag-in-a-box, and two gift card/money card presentations. This class is $20 and will run from 11:30am til 2pm. There’s also a cards class in the morning and a multi-media class in the afternoon. If you’ll be on Maui the 12th I hope you’ll join us!

Early Bird deadline is October 1st – every class goes up $5 if you register after that day. Don’t wait!
