Hello there, Everyday Enchantment!

Such soothing colors for this card!

Elementary Elegance Pool Party

The images from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper coordinate so perfectly with all of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets – this one is Elementary Elegance.  I punched out the sentiment on with the Curly Label and brushed the edges with a dauber dunked in Lucky Limeade ink and one-two-three I was done!

This card is kinda begging for more bling, and I am going to revisit it after Spring Break.  I don’t think EVERY card has to be ready to pop in the mail.  I have a little hint for you too – when you make a panel with two different pieces of DSP, cut a narrow strip of cardstock – I used Very Vanilla but anything would work – just 1/4 inch shorter than the width you are joining, and maybe 3/4 inch wide.  Cover it with SNAIL and you have a platform to join and stabilize your DSP  – you can butt the edges together and there is no waste!

Just 3 more weeks of Sale-a-bration!

Announcing…Anne and Crystal’s Spring Extravaganza!

I do hope you are making plans to be on Maui in March 🙂

Crystal and I have been hard at work on projects for our First Ever Spring Extravaganza.  It will be a full day of crafty goodness, but if you can only spare a couple of hours you’ll be more than welcome for that, too.  Want to see what we’ll be doing?

ACSE Mixed Bunch Class

There’s an embellished DVD case with goodies inside, a set of 4 note cards (3 1/2 x 5 inches) and 4 pretty little treat bags (we’re going to let you fill them yourself).  More details?  Here’s a look at the note cards:

We’re using the gorgeous Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper Everyday Enchantment, along with the Fresh Vintage stamp set.

Here’s the inside of the DVD case:

Are you lovin’ it?  We got the giggles, we were so pleased with this!  This first class will run from 8am til 10:30am.  Cost is $20 if you are PAID by March 8, $23 after on a space available basis.

After all of that Suite Goodness, we thought you might want to make a few cards – that class will run from 11am to 1pm and will be $10 before March 8, $12 after.  You’ll have to check back this week to see the cards – I can’t show you absolutely EVERYTHING at once!

From 2 to 4:30pm, we’ll finish up with the cutest little Vintage Typewriter Suite you’ve ever laid eyes on:

Oh, yeah!  Clipboard and pen, clutter jar, and another note card (3 x 5 1/2 inch) set.  This would be a fabulous gift (Mother’s Day is coming…) or might be just the thing to give you the boost you need to get those dog-gone taxes done!  Your class payment is $20 if it’s received by March 8, $23 after that.

Here are the note cards:

Our class will be at the Maui Masonic Lodge, 190 West Kamehameha Avenue in Kahului.  We’ll have light refreshments, door prizes, and loads of good times!  Please bring your own adhesive (we prefer SNAIL and Tombo) and any tools (snips, bone folder, etc) that you like to have right at your fingertips.

Now, you may be thinking “She showed us the projects – I could just make them myself.”  Well, yes you could.  And what fun would that be?  Imagine sitting around a table with laughing, chattering friends, having everything you need at your fingertips – pre-cut and ready to go?  That sounds pretty good to me!

I hope you’ll join us!

Hooray for Getting Things Done!!

Oh, I do love a good, productive day!

I’m an organizer.  I make lists, block out time for important tasks, and when they are done I love to check them off.  I’ve heard the comments – call it what you want, I don’t care – it makes me happy.  Lately, however, MY important tasks have taken a back seat to OTHERS’ important tasks.  It’s not that those other tasks were unimportant – but they kept crowding out the things I wanted to do.  I’ve been out-of-sorts as I’ve seen things like “Complete the FAFSA” and “Prepare the minutes for the Pastoral Council meeting for distribution” get checked off, while things like “Make Valentines” and “Unpack new Stampin’ Up! goodies” remain on my list.  (If you don’t know what the FAFSA is, be grateful – and if we receive some financial aid for my son when he attends university next year, I’ll be grateful.)

This morning I was able to slay enough dragons (yes!!  it’s the Year of the Dragon!) on my list that I could justify an afternoon in my studio.  I did a little straightening up (just enough so I could find my mojo) then cracked open a few ink pads.  There were so many cards waiting to get put to paper!!

Branch Out Valentine

  • Branch Out (retired) and Pennant Parade stamp sets
  • Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Pool Party card stock
  • Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration)
  • Early Espresso Classic ink pad
  • Triple Heart punch
  • Calypso Coral Bakers Twine
  • Rhinestone Jewels
  • Simply Scored

I know I shouldn’t keep using Branch Out.  It’s a retired stamp set.  Oh, but it makes me so happy!!  There are other trees in the IBC – you could substitute Season of Friendship – but this one is my all time favorite. The card base is Very Vanilla, but it has a pinkish cast in my photo.  I gave up on that dragon.

If you haven’t placed a Sale-a-bration order yet, maybe it’s time to scoot yourself over to my Online Store and place a $50 order so that you can have your own package of Everyday Enchantment (#126154).  I’m ashamed to admit how many packages I have stashed away!  I love every single pattern, I love the colors, and I love the way it all works together.  Isn’t that how it is with Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper??

Occasions Mini 2012 Ribbon Share

I also have a few Occasions Mini Catalog Ribbon Shares left – for $15 (plus shipping) you’ll get 1 yard each of the new pleated ribbons in Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizazz, plus 5 yards of each of the new Bakers Twines:  Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder.  I’ve even included a yard each of the Sale-a-bration skinny organza ribbon in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade.  Contact me if you’re interested.

Thanks for stopping by!  Writing this post was the last thing on today’s MUST DO list – now it’s back to the studio for some play-time.

Just a quick post

It’s been crazy mad busy around the Stamper household and it doesn’t promise to get much better!  I would hate to be bored, though, so I can’t complain about all the good stuff going on.  There are so many fantastic new goodies to play with in my studio and I just can’t seem to find enough time to play with them all!

This is one more card I made for my secret sister swap at Leadership in San Antonio:

Leadershp swap card 2012

It’s very simple and VERY bright – not sure what posessed me to put Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade together but I did it!  Those tiny little embossed hearts are from the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing folders, and they are as easy to use as they are cute.  That Designer Series paper is Everyday Enchantment from the Sale-a-bration catalog, and I haven’t found one design that I couldn’t find a good use for in that assortment —  I’ve ordered a package or two for myself!

And now one more photo from Leadership – I mentioned in my post from San Antonio that my upline Janet Wakeland hosted an event in her hotel room and we gathered for a group photo:

RemARKables Leadership 2012

There is a bed underneath all of those women, and we were certain that it was going to collapse underneath us.  Never mind that it was about 97 degrees in that hotel room!!  Didn’t matter, we were havin’ too much fun to care.  But I’ll confess to being grateful that the photo was done and we could all get just a little bit more personal space!
