Nature's Prints | The Maui Stamper

In Colors Wild Wheat (23-25) and Orchid Oasis (21-23) work beautifully together in this birthday card featuring the new Circle Sayings stamp set. I chose a subtle design from our new color families Designer Series Paper for this simple layout.

Accessories: 2 3/8″ Pircle Punch, Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Basic Borders dies, Blending Brush, Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals, retired ribbon.

Circle Sayings is bundled with this big circle punch for extra savings. I found it easiest to punch the circle first and stamp second in this case. These are clear photopolymer stamps, making it easy to align them on the edge of the curve.

I used the fern image from Nature’s Prints to soften the edges of the white card base, then brushed over them lightly with Orchid Oasis ink. The sentiment from Circle Sayings fits perfectly inside the border (of course it does!!) and the result is a surprisingly quick card.

There are 6 different edge treatments in the Best Borders dies – I chose the rickrack border because I liked it with the linear design in the DSP. My Stampin’ Up! Box o’ Goodies arrived last week, and I’ve spent this weekend playing. My first tasks was to create some goodies for Maui Stampers teammates who are attending a virtual event together the end of the month. It was a perfect opportunity to try out the 22-24 In Colors:

Sticky Note packaging made with Stampin' Up! new In Colors Parakeet Party Orchid Opulence Starry Sky using the new Natures Prints stamp set

I came up with this modified matchbook design for a sticky note cover to make it a little easier to open and close – at least, I think so!

That Parakeet Party 1/2″ band slides up and down on the bottom flap to create a closure around the top flap. The new stitched square from the Stylish Shapes dies (oh, will I use these!!) fits perfectly on the top.

You can just barely see that band in the closed position underneath the Stylish Shapes Square.
