Forever Lovely: the day after forever

This die cut looks really complicated, but trust me, it’s not. I had very skeptical looks from the members of the first club group to try it, but they agreed that it looks much more difficult than it is. I think that’s the beauty of the product!

Maui Stamper Stampin' Up! Forever Lovely

Lovely Forever and the Lovely Flowers Edgelits are sold in a money saving bundle. It makes a gorgeous pair of products nearly impossible to resist.

I rounded the top corners of this card with the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board. It’s a versatile tool, and the corner rounder at the top of the board is an added bonus. It always seems to get the corner right, too.

I put the card base through the Big Shot first, then cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock to 4 3/16″ x 5 1/2″. That 1/16″ provides just enough clearance to allow the Flirty Flamingo panel to nest into the fold of the card without peeking out the opposite side. I placed the Flamingo panel under the Whisper White die cut and aligned the edgelit included in the assortment right up against the edge of the white die cut. I traced the top of the edgelit with a pencil and used that mark to position the Flamingo panel and the edgelit in the Big Shot so that I would get perfect alignment underneath the card front. I trimmed off the bottom of the Flamingo panel to 1/4″ from the bottom, then adhered it to the white card front. I used Fast Fuse (I still have a stash and I love it!) along the sides and bottom, and then carefully adhered the top of the die cut to the Flamingo panel using Tombo. You need a steady hand, and for some people it’s easier to put a little puddle on a scrap of paper and use a toothpick. Tombo is still my Wonder Adhesive.

My heart isn’t completely sold on this sentiment. It’s the “until” part. That implies an end. I realize that forever is infinite, but I still struggle. I’m a words girl, and I get a little fussy about the details. Nevertheless, the message is clear: I’ll love you forever! (But no guarantees about the day after.)

Here’s a guarantee: this card is much easier than it looks and will bring joy to the lucky person who receives it. If you need to shop for the supplies to create your own, shop HERE.
