It’s time for a December Calendar……

…and I’ve turned to For The Birds one last time:

Maui Stamper 2015 Easel DIY Calendar December

After this year I’ll have to find a new favorite – I was so sorry to see For the Birds retire.

I used the treetop from Lovely as a Tree and positioned a sticky note to create a mask, allowing me to vary the height of my trees.

Maui Stamper 2015 Easel DIY Calendar DecemberA little smudge of Smokey Slate with the Aqua Painter gives my skater a little color to stand out from the snowy Whisper White background.

And a heartfelt Happy December to you all.

Visit Cheryl and Crystal to see how they’ve finished out their 2015 calendars!

Give Thanks: November Calendar

I love the look of coloring directly on the rubber:

Maui Stamper 2015 Easel DIY Calendar NovemberThat’s one of the best things about these little calendars – they’re small enough that I don’t mind putting in the extra effort to do something special like coloring on the stamps.

Maui Stamper 2015 Easel DIY Calendar NovemberStamps are from For All Things and colors are Blackberry Bliss, Real Red, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry.  And you could do this in a heartbeat.

Check out more November calendars by visiting Cheryl and Crystal.

In just 2 days…Trick or Treat!

There aren’t a lot of trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood so I can afford to have some fun:

Maui Stamper Pillow Box Thinlits Trick or TreatsIf you follow the Maui Stamper, you’ll remember I made these HERE.

Maui Stamper Pillow Box Thinlits Trick or TreatsThese are very similar, using the Pillow Box Framelits, the Howl-o-ween stamps, the Boo to You Thinlits and the Woodlands TIEF – but I used retired DSP for the back and some retired ribbon as well.

I really did use up all of my Happy Haunting DSP!

Maui Stamper Pillow Box Thinlits Trick or TreatsThe fun thing is that with the window on the front (it’s one of the options with the framelit set) you can see the reverse side of the DSP when the treats are gone.  As if the local 6-year-olds will care, but it makes me happy to know it’s there.

Witchy Li’l Punkins

I am shamelessly CASEing these punkins:

Maui Stamper Curvy Keepsake Witchy PunkinsThey were apparently a big hit a Founders Circle, Stampin’ Up!’s recognition event for the top 100 demonstrators.  Janet Wakeland shared them privately with her RemARKable Stampers team , and Patty Bennett shared them on her blog with a little more detail.

Maui Stamper Curvy Keepsake Witchy PunkinsI made a punkin-patch worth of these for my hostess club – I know they’ll be after the chocolate inside!

Maui Stamper Curvy Keepsake Witchy PunkinsI used a variety of different stamps to embellish the sides – Chalk Lines, Sweet Stack, Awesomely Artistic, and Dotty Angles.  It’s a simple idea:  assemble the Curvy Keepsake Box, cut a slit down the center of the Spider Web doily and slip it over the handles.  I punched a 2 1/2″ circle of Black Glimmer paper and used a craft knife to cut a slit in the center of that (Patty’s example uses the Word Window punch).  I slipped the circle over the handles right on top of the doily.

Finally, I punched two trees from Black Glimmer paper and adhered them to one another with Tombo (the Wonder Adhesive).  I made a Builder Bow Punch bow with Happy Haunting DSP (told you I used it up!) and used Glue dots to put the bow on the “tree” and the tree on the handle.  Patty’s version is a little different – the hat lifts on and off – but I wanted my to stay put.

There’s still time – just a few cranks of that Big Shot and you’ll be halfway there!

Kit-Tastic Christmas

Have you looked at the kits in the Holiday catalog?  I mean really looked?

This is my favorite kit:

Maui Stamper Oh What Fun TagsThese tags (#139602, $21.00 for 30 tags) are CUTE and the stamp set (sold separately #140386 $21.00) is one of those Holiday Keepers that you will pull out year after year.  I put them together myself:

Maui Stamper Oh What Fun Tags KitDon’t you love my tree?  I bought it a few years ago after Christmas on clearance and I use it for everything.  You’ve got to act quickly when you see something great like this on Maui – it doesn’t last!  There are birds 🙂

Maui Stamper Oh What Fun Tags KitI mean, seriously – Holly, Happy Christmas (so Aussie!) and a BELL???

Maui Stamper Oh What Fun Tags KitThere are To: and From: stamps for the back of the tags – this kit has everything!

Maui Stamper Oh What Fun Tags KitThat big ol’ glitter snowflake is ah-mazing.  And there are three in each kit – thirty tags, three each of 10 designs.  It’s well worth the cost of the kit and the stamps to do at home.

However, Crystal and I will have stations to complete sets of tags and the shaker cards below at our annual Christmas Festivities on November 14th.  Sign up early!!  You can choose tags in sets of 10 (one each of 10 different designs) and/or cards in sets of 3 (one each of 3 different designs).  You can even select multiples of each of our sets – for example, two sets of tag kits to make 20 tags.  Don’t wait to sign up!

Maui Stamper To You and YoursThis is To You and Yours, a Shaker card kit that makes 18 cards.  (#139647, $24.00)  These are charming, eye-catching, and as fun to send as to receive.

Maui Stamper Season To Season WreathThis gorgeous wreath can be updated for Halloween, Autumn/Thanksgiving, and Christmas – and that’s just using the included pieces.  Imagine Valentines decorations, Easter Eggs, Spring flowers – the list goes on.  (Season to Season Wreath, #139645, $27.00)

We won’t be offering that as part of our Kit-Tastic-Christmas, but if you have a group of friends that wants to get together and assemble these, let me know and we will set a date!

Sign up for class projects by November 1st.  Make all 10 Oh What Fun Tags  (one of each design) for $12, or make 3 To You and Yours Shaker cards for $9 (again, one of each).  Or make them both!  Or make multiples of your favorite.  It’s up to you.

It’s RemARKably Trick or Treat!

Welcome to the October RemARKable Blog Tour.  If you’re the type of person who does things sequentially, you’ve likely arrived from Tracy Langley’s blog.  If you’re a Frank Sinatra, I-Did-It-My-Way kind of person, well, I’m happy you’re here!

Maui Stamper Howl-O-Ween Boo-To-You Bundle RemARKable TourTrick or treat!

  • Stamps:  Howl-O-Ween, And Many More
  • Color Palette:  Tangelo Twist, Whisper White and Basic Black
  • Accessories:  Big Shot, Pillow Box Framelits, Window Sheet, Woodland TIEF,  Black 3/8″ taffeta ribbon, Black Bakers Twine, Happy Haunting DSP, Toe-Bod-Butts*

Maui Stamper Howl-O-Ween Boo-To-You Bundle RemARKable Tour*See the candy inside the package?  It’s called Toe Bod Butts.  The little white bit on the end is the Toe.  The orange part in the middle is the Bod(y).  And the yellow on the top is the Butt.  And you eat it in that order.

Anyone who tells you they’re called Candy Corn has succumbed to the wonders of Marketing.  Toe-Bod-Butts.  That’s what they are.

Maui Stamper Howl-O-Ween Boo-To-You Bundle RemARKable TourI absolutely love the Happy Haunting Designer Series paper (DSP).  This plaid is one of my favorites – if I lived where Fall was actually a season, I would have wool pants in this plaid.  Love love love it…so much that I think I have used up all but a few tiny scraps of the ENTIRE PACKAGE OF DSP.  Do you realize the enormity of that?  I’m a DSP Hoarder.  This is big, my friends, big.

You can put together a bunch of these watching a football game (ask me how I know) and have special treats for the kids in your son or daughter’s class, or your co-workers, or the football players for that matter.  And you might even get to sneak in a few Toe Bod Butts for yourself.  How fabulous would that be?

While you’re munching and cranking the Big Shot, click HERE to head over to see what Heather Mathiason is up to.

Pretty Packaging

I bought some of our corrugated paper a couple of months ago and was finally inspired to make something:

Maui Stamper Corrugated Pillow Box and Poinsettia

I made a poinsettia with our new Festive Flower Builder punch – I made doubles of each set of petals to make it really full.

Maui Stamper Corrugated Pillow Box and Poinsettia

Some gold cord and a little Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper finished it off.  (Gotta hold back on the actual airborne Dazzling Diamonds for now – I’ve been playing with fire lately!)

Do you like it? I confess, I’m pretty pleased!

Boo! October DIY Calendar!

Don’t tell Mr. Maui Stamper, but I got into the glitter again:

Maui Stamper 2015 Easel DIY Calendar OctoberIt was a simple matter.  Just a little Two-Way Glue Pen on the bats and a sprinkle of black glitter (from last year’s holiday catalog – but you have some in your stash too, don’t you?)

Maui Stamper 2015 Easel DIY Calendar OctoberThe stamps are from the Project Life Holiday Cheer set from last year as well.  But the whole idea of these calendars is to inspire you to create your own – and if you have a little bat somewhere you’ll be all set!  (If you don’t, try Cheer All Year or Project Life Seasonal Snapshop 2015).  Shop HERE.

Be sure and visit Cheryl and Crystal to see what they’ve done for October.  And if you’d like a Ready-To-Stamp 2016 Calendar kit, I’m taking orders – they’ll ship November 1st.
