The LAST CHANCE list updated this week and holy smokes! For the first time, past Sale-a-bration products are available. One of my favorites is the Toadstool Gardens DSP, and I made a quick card to highlight some of the great designs in the pack.
Stamps: Terrific Toadstools
Color Palette: Basic White, Timid Tiger, Gray Granite, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green
One of the things I love about this pack is that it has bold, bright designs paired with softer, tone-on-tone patterns. I’ve used 4 different papers for this simple card, and there are plenty of other options to choose from.
I inked the toadstool cap with Timid Tiger and removed the ink from the frilly underside bits (no idea what they’re called, too lazy to search.) I used a Stampin’ Write Marker to replace that color with Gray Granite, which mirrors the coloring in the DSP. Super easy, but one of those little touches that make a card special.
Have a little fun with this paper even if you don’t have the Terrific Toadstools bundle – it would be almost as easy to fussy cut a toadstool from the paper to replicate this card. But don’t wait too long to do your Last Chance shopping: it’s called Last Chance for a reason!

I’m always conflicted over the Last Chance List. There are things I am so sad to see leave our lineup. (There are a few I can legitimately wish Good Riddance!) But I know this makes room for new products, and who doesn’t love new?
There’s a lot here – I’ll share my thoughts about just a few.
Seaside Wishes. I hoped we would have it one more year. This goes into my FOREVAH stash, especially with that hybrid embossing folder. Don’t wait, this one is already on low inventory.
BOHO BLUE. 😱😱😱 I mean, it’s an In Color, I knew it, but still…
This is my absolute favorite light blue. It’s that perfect tone, perfect intensity, perfect color. I can only hope it will be back someday in a Color Refresh. But not this year.
The Greetings of the Season dies are perfect year round dies. The stamps are holiday stamps, but these dies are work-horses for every day. They even come with the puka (hole) for your Linen Thread. And they’re on sale.
If Stampin’ Up! ever retires Linen Thread I will tear out my hair.
What’s breaking your heart on the Last Chance list? Do you have it? Will you order it?

It’s the last day of December, and it’s my tradition to review my DIY Easel Calendar month-by-month. Are you ready? Let’s start with JANUARY:
I started the year with Stippled Roses for January 1, 2024. This particular image is really easy to color because of the shading marks in the stamps.
Painted Lavender was a carryover from last year, and the idea of fields of lavender seemed romantic for February. See the details in my post on February 1, 2024.
Tropical Leaf was a very early Online Exclusive, and it is tailor-made for a gardener-crafter like me. Check out the original post on March 1, 2024.
Planted Paradise was the perfect image to recreate the vibrant colors of the crotons in my garden, You can see them in this post for my April calendar
In May I stayed with a garden theme! I chose strawberries from Ice Cream Swirl. See the original post on May 1, 2024.
Time for a change – off to the ocean! Seaside Wishes has been a go-to stamp set all year. Read the details for this calendar page in June 1, 2024.
I featured the lemon with its blossoms from Citrus Blooms for July in honor of my own dwarf Meyer Lemon. You can see the details on July 1, 2024.
In August, I chose warm tones and the flowers and butterfly from Spotlight on Nature. You can see it all HERE.
Bee My Valentine is a year-round stamp set! Look at this adorable pollinators featured in my September 1, 2024 post.
These gorgeous blooms are from Regal Flora, which sadly moved to the Last Chance list at the beginning of December. You can see the original post on October 1, 2024.
Happy Hibiscus is a KEEPER! It’s an Online Exclusive that I hope will be around for a long time. Learn more in the November 1, 2024 post.
Every year it comes sooner! Whoosh, it’s December! It feels as though Stampin’ Up! really met us in the tropics in 2024. You can see this post from the beginning of this month HERE.
And 2024 is a wrap! I hope you’ve enjoyed this review. Comment on this post and share which month is your favorite. You can pick more than one – clearly, I can’t decide, so I won’t ask you to! I create my calendars month by month so that I can use the newest product. However, in review you’ll notice that many of these products are now retired. And tomorrow we begin a new month, a new year, and an exciting surprise with a new DIY Blog Tour! Make sure you pop in for a look.
If you feel inspired, you can create your own calendar for 2025. The 2025 DIY Template is just $5 and you may use it to make as many calendars as you like. It includes a page of covers, 12 monthly calendar blocks (4 to a page), and a set of cutting instructions. The blocks are designed to be cut to 3 1/2″ square. Please be patient if you order in the next couple of days – it’s a busy time.

Thanks for following the Maui Stamper and sharing in my crafting journey. Tomorrow starts a New Year, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you. Aloha 🌺
Right now in my garden, the bees are very busy, and they’ve inspired my September DIY Calendar for 2024. I reached for Bee My Valentine, because it’s so much more than a Valentine set.
Stamps: Bee My Valentine
Color Palette: Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite, Memento Black
There are multiple Bee-Faces to choose in this set, but this one is my favorite and I keep going back to it.
The wings are stamped and punched from the Nature’s Sweetness DSP to add a little sparkle. I also stamped off the Gray Granite ink when I added the honeycomb to the background. And I like to use glue dots to assemble the bee wings and antennas because they give me a little wiggle room to make adjustments in placement and angle.
With all the amazing new products coming with the September – December mini catalog on Wednesday, it’s easy to overlook the inspiration that’s sitting right there in your craft room. Take a look on your shelves – what hasn’t seen ink lately?

Can you imagine a better choice for a Maui Stamper card? Seaside Wishes is full of gorgeous waterfront images, and that So Swirly Embossing Folder fits right into the theme. I put that bundle on my 24-25 Annual Catalog shopping list the moment I spotted it.
Stamps: Seaside Wishes
Color Palette: Basic White, Basic Beige, Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral
Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, So Swirly Embossing Folder, Seaside Wishes dies, Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder, Country Lace DSP, Linen Thread, Blending Brush, Stampin Dimensionals
This is one more card using our Hybrid Embossing Folder magic. If you choose not to put the dies into the folder, you’ll have a lovely embossed image to work with, but I love those sand dollars and knew I wanted to cut them out.
I chose Calypso Coral – a pretty bold color – for the sea stars, since the rest of the card was soft and neutral. Even Lost Lagoon seems subdued in comparison, and the contrast really works for me. I hope you think so too!
A jaunty row of little sea stars is the perfect accent for the envelope, and I might have slipped a few inside the card as well. Have fun with the details!
And if you need supplies for this card or any other project you’ve got going, I’m so appreciative when you shop the Online Store.

I am smitten with our Hybrid Embossing Folders, although it took me a while to realize just how they work. This layout is inspired by Alanna Wharf, a Stampin’ Up! Artisan team member. Her version is light and dreamy, but I took an earthier, more autumnal direction.
Stamps: Changing Leaves
Color Palette: Basic White, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana
Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Changing Leaves dies, Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder, Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, Country Woods DSP, Nature’s Story DSPBasic Beige Bordered Ribbon, Linen Thread, Faux Leather Trim (retired), Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin Blends, Stampin’ Dimensionals
The Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder leaves that lovely texture on the leave in addition to cutting it out. If you haven’t explored our Hybrid Embossing Folders, I highly recommend them!
I used one of the leaf stamps from Changing Leaves to create a subtle bottom border inside the card – I used Crumb Cake ink, and stamped it off before applying it to the interior panel.
If you look carefully at the photo below, you’ll see the embossing folder with the dies inside of it and something yellow. That’s washi tape, a crafter’s good friend. I made multiples of this card, and taping the die directly to the embossing folder makes sure everything is perfectly aligned every time.
I was able to cut just this one leaf with a 4″x4″ square of DSP. It makes me very happy when numbers work out that way – I got 9 leaves from each sheet of DSP with pieces left over!

Are you ready for one more Layers of Beauty card? I hope so – I find this image irresistible!
Stamps: Layers of Beauty, Changing Leaves
Color Palette: Basic White, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Memento Black
Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Perennial Postage Dies, Layers of Beauty dies, Layers of Beauty Masks, Changing Leaves dies, Blending Brushes, Masking Paper, Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs, Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack
The sentiment and that sweet oval panel are from Changing Leaves. I’ve recently added that bundle to my stash and find myself reaching for it more often than I expected – especially considering we don’t really have autumn here in the islands. (We DO have seasons, that’s a topic for another day.)
I masked the edges of the smaller Perennial Postage die and gently brushed it with Lemon Lolly ink. It brings a postage stamp to mind, but it also adds a 3rd mat layer without any additional weight or thickness. And I LOVE the Iridescent Discs because they are FLAT FLAT FLAT. (They match much better than it appears in the photo.)
Even though I’ve used the same image from the bundle each time, to my eye, the different color palettes make each one so different from the last. I hope you enjoy Layers of Beauty as much as I do!
Are you ready to take the leap? Shop the Online Store – and don’t forget to pick up a few Blending Brushes while you’re there.

This simple layout can be anything you need – a true Swiss Army Knife design. Change the color palette and the DSP and you could have a child’s card, a feminine girlfriend card, or even a thoughtful sympathy card. The options are endless.
Stamps: Heartfelt Hexagon, Everyday Greetings, Greetings of the Season
Color Palette: Basic White, Pebble Path, Memento Black
Accessories: Hexagon Punch, Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder, Country Woods DSP, 23-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots, In Color Textured Ribbon (retired), Stampin’ Dimensionals
I discovered that the hexagon stamp can be a little tricky to line up on a block. Since it’s an open stamp, the edges move around a bit and when you go to punch it, if it’s not perfectly “squared” it doesn’t fit. I solved the problem by lining up the stamp on top of the punch – put the side that you use to stamp directly onto the punch and have the flat side facing up. Then place your block on top of the flat part and carefully peel the stamp off the hexagon. Try it, it works!
The sentiment uses two Online Exclusive stamp sets, Everyday Greetings and Greetings of the Season. Between the two, just about everything you might want to say is covered.
My apologies about yet another retired ribbon. You could substitute the Pebble Path Jute Trim, and that would be even more manly. I need to clear out my trim drawer.
I usually make my mats pretty tight, so that Basic White panel is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. That means the DSP is 4″ x 5 1/4″, and if you make the embossed piece 2 1/4″ tall and the DSP piece 3″ tall, they’ll butt up nicely to each other. I like to make my DSP panels 4″ wide so that I can cut 3 across on a 12″ piece of patterned paper. And my favorite Country Woods DSP is still on sale in the Online Store!
