I’ve had this early-release product for some time, but if I’m absolutely honest, it kind of intimidated me. The stamps coordinate perfectly with the framelits, and there are a million and one ways to use the framelits – and that was what had me holding my breath. Fortunately, I’ve survived that crisis and am happy to share the results with you today:
I kept this card intentionally simple, partly because it was for a swap, and partly to keep myself from freaking out. Â I wasn’t sure if the color combination would work, but I LOVE IT! Â I lean towards monochromatic color combinations and this made me very happy.
I used two separate thinlits on the Very Vanilla piece, and was thrilled to discover that they lined up perfectly together so that I could get this look with just one pass of the Big Shot. (Remember: this was for a swap so I needed a bunch!)
The Very Best Part about this card is something you wouldn’t know if I didn’t tell you (GUESS WHAT? I’m a little behind sending January birthday cards, but when this one arrives I hope I’ll be forgiven my tardiness!
I had a fabulous time coloring that truck, because I let my creative spirit run free. Â Some of it is done with Stampin’ Write markers, some with Stampin’ Up! Colored pencils, some were smoothed with the Aqua Painter, and there’s a liberal dose of Stella adding sparkle to the whole thing!
The Little Foxy DSP is PERFECT behind this truck, and finding it in my stamp room was absolutely serendipitous. (Miraculous, even.) Â The DSP inspired this treatment on the inside of the card:
I’m pretty happy with the way this turned out. My creativity needed a boost and this fun stamp set was just the thing to do the job.

I’m a list maker. Â You’d think that would mean I get things done on time, but, well, not so much. Â At least I know how much I didn’t get done.
This time of the year my list gets a little crazier than usual. Â For example, demonstrators have had a peek at the upcoming Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs, and even though we’re deep in the Holiday crafting season, our minds are beginning to drift. Â (OK, the truth is my mind is ALWAYS drifting.) Â It’s new, it’s exciting, but there are other things that need to be taken care of first!!
