EVERYDAY YOU + ME SWAP #ONSTAGE2025BRISBANE

This is the card I took to Brisbane for general swapping. I wanted something that would pack well (which means it also mails well). The 3D Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder actually provides a little cushion for the card when you send it through the mail.

  • Stamps: Country Flowers (Last Chance. I love this sentiment – font, punctuation, all of it)
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Wild Wheat, Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Spotlight on Nature dies, Mini-Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, Citrus Blooms (Last Chance – the leaves), Everyday Happiness DSP, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I cut a LOT of those branches 😳 but I loved the way they looked together.

I gave them all away, and as I looked at this photo I realized it’s missing the jute twine! Check the Swap Board below – the completed card is in the bottom right corner. And you can shop the Online Store if you’re inspired!

Some days are like that. Even in Australia. 💕

LAST CHANCE FOR COUNTRY FLOWERS + TEXTURED FLORAL

Welcome to my April Last Dance/Last Chance series! Today’s card is another “two-for” featuring Country Flowers and Textured Floral. I’ve designed this card with Lost Lagoon and Daffodil Delight, and I’m “delighted” with the way the two colors complement each other.

  • Stamps: Country Flowers, Textured Floral
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Gray Granite
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Country Flowers dies, Textured Floral dies, Textured Notes dies, Stampin’ Blends, Subtles DSP Pack, Jute Twine, Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals

That beautiful rectangular die is from Textured Notes – it’s fairly new, and it’s not Last Chance. I slipped in a little Wild Wheat Jute trim, and I think it works well with Daffodil and Lemon Lolly. I love the way Country Flowers and Textured Floral stamps and dies coordinate with each other! Both the stamps and dies for these two versatile sets are discounted.

I’ve left this card without a sentiment. I like to have a few of these on hand for that last minute, “I need a card” moments (oh, you bet I have those!). Visit the Online Store to see all the great Last Chance choices. And thanks for visiting today.

LAST CHANCE: TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

Welcome to my April Last Dance/Last Chance series! I’ve created a soft card using Crumb Cake and Boho Blue. Crumb Cake is such a classic color and plays well with almost every other color, while Boho Blue is a classic mid-range blue that I am going to miss terribly when it retires in May. Sigh.

  • Stamps: Translucent Florals, Country Flowers (Both LAST CHANCE)
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Crumb Cake, Boho Blue (Retiring 23-25 In Color)
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Greetings of the Season dies (sold out), Translucent Florals dies, Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, In Color Jute Twine, Blending Brush, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I am very sorry to report that the Greetings of the Season dies are SOLD OUT. The Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder is NOT on Last Chance, which means it will be around for a while. Good thing because I use it a lot. It’s a larger format, square folder, which makes it easy to put an entire card front through the Stamp Cut + Emboss Machine.

I used a Blending Brush to add a little depth to the dry embossing with Crumb Cake ink. The larger leaf images are stamped off, but the smaller stem is stamped full strength. This makes a lovely sympathy card, but it could just as easily carry a different sentiment.

I hope you’re tracking all of these Last Chance beauties. They really are Last Chance, so if you’re smitten, head on over to the Online Store and make them yours! Both Country Flowers (the sentiment) and Translucent Florals are a better value if you purchase them separately as Stamps + Dies vs. buying them as a bundle. Be akamai and save!

CHANGING LEAVES as a SYMPATHY CARD

Changing Leaves is one of those Swiss Army Knife stamp sets – it can do just about anything. Today’s card is a good example: by crafting it in a monochromatic palette, it sets the stage for a thoughtful sympathy card.

  • Stamps: Changing Leaves, Country Flowers
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Pebble Path
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Changing Leaves dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder, Deckle Rectangle dies, 23-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots, dauber, Pebble Path Jute Trim, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I used daubers to add a little depth to the leaf – the Hybrid Embossing folder added that gorgeous texture. I unraveled Pebbled Path Jute Trim and added a strand behind the leaf, shaping it as a bow but skipping the actual knot.

Sympathy cards are the sort of thing you often need with short notice. To make sure you’re prepared, check my supplies and shop the Online Store.

SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE: CI#172

I haven’t joined the Colour Inkspirations challenges for ages, but this month I made a point of writing down the colours and creating with them. I wouldn’t have chosen the combination of Peach Pie, Garden Green and Pebble Path on my own, so it was a proper challenge.

(Please note that Colour Inkspirations is based in the South Pacific and uses an extra vowel, and I have done the same in today’s post.)

  • Stamps: Spotlight on Nature, Country Flowers
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Peach Pie, Garden Green, Pebble Path
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Spotlight on Nature dies, Changing Leaves dies, Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, Pebble Path Jute Trim, Stamp and Write markers, Blender Pen, 24-26 In Color Shimmer Gems, dauber, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I fussy cut the floral image since the dies in the Spotlight on Nature bundle are circular. I inked the stamp with Stampin’ Write markers and used a Blender Pen to add color to the stamped image. The Blender Pen allows a much softer touch than Stampin’ Blends, and I didn’t want to cover the detail on the stamped image.

I used a dauber to add a little extra Pebble Path to the new Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. It’s not perfect, it’s hand-made!

Have you played along with a challenge lately? I’d love to know which challenges you enjoy.

And if you need your own Spotlight on Nature bundle, shop the Online Store.

BEST.FRIEND.EVER IN COLOR

Here’s another version of the Country Flowers images I colored last week featuring some of the 24-26 In Colors. I think I like the kettle better than the bucket!

  • Stamps: Country Flowers
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock, Wild Wheat, Memento Black
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Deckle Rectangle dies, 24-26 In Color DSP, Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon (retired), Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Dimensionals

My inspiration was one of the card sketches on page 22 of the 24-25 Annual Catalog. I didn’t follow it exactly but that’s the beauty of a sketch – you can interpret it to suit your needs.

I stamped the sentiment on a narrow strip of card stock and trimmed the ends at an angle. The original piece of card stock was quite long, which allowed me to place it on the focal point panel and lightly mark exactly where I wanted to trim the ends. Sometimes I surprise myself by actually thinking ahead.

Can you keep a secret? I initially colored the leaves with Granny Apple Green, but when I decided to use the color family DSP pack I just colored right over them with Shy Shamrock. And I consider it a minor stroke of genius that I saw the potential for Wild Wheat to create the impression of a brass kettle.

Well, Bella says I’m done on the computer for now. She’s a bossy girl when bedtime approaches. Take a peek at the Online Store to see Country Flowers and all the other products I’ve used to create this card. And thanks for stopping by!

COUNTRY FLOWERS IN GRAY GRANITE

Country Flowers offers multiple ways to fill a kettle – or a bucket – with plants and flowers. I stamped a stack of options and played with a lot of colors, but this two-tone version turned out to be my favorite:

  • Stamps: Country Flowers, Sweetly Scripted
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Gray Granite, Granny Apple Green, Memento Black
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Stylish Shapes dies, Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Country Lace DSP, Pebble Path Jute Trim, Stampin’ Dimensionals

The Country Lace DSP and the Eyelet 3D embossing folders are perfectly coordinated, and give added texture to the card stock strip. I thought about adding some kind of gem or dot, but honestly, I’ve done that with nearly everything I’ve made the past few weeks and I wanted something different. The jute trim is more in keeping with the country feeling.

I’ m still working on my Blends technique. I tried to be more consistent with the light on the leaves and the kettle, and it’s better than others I’ve done in the past!

There are more images colored with Blends just waiting for a little love. This one was really fun to assemble, and it came together quickly – so I’m encouraged. It would be easy to replicate this and put a different Sweetly Scripted Sentiment (say that 5 times!!) on each version.

Country Flowers is from the 24-25 Annual Catalog, and Sweetly Scripted is an Online Exclusive. Don’t miss either one – shop the Online Store.
