SEASIDE WISHES for FRIENDS

Do you keep every stamp set and bundle, or do you let go of older stamp sets? As a demonstrator, I try to work with only current products, but there are a few that go into my “forevah” box. I’ll always have Seaside Wishes.

  • Stamps: Seaside Wishes, Heartfelt Hexagon (retired)
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Basic Beige, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Pool Party
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine, Seaside Wishes dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder, Heartfelt Hexagon punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, a very old set of card bases with matching envelopes

I made these a month or so ago, and the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set has retired. The punch is still available, and I love this shape. It’s different enough to be interesting without being weird. It makes great interlocking designs, too. You can see one HERE.

This set of printed card bases and envelopes has been languishing in my supply cabinet for a very long time. There are current options in the Online Store.

Seaside Wishes comes in a money saving bundle and includes a Hybrid Embossing Folder. Shop for it in the Online Store.

Success! You're on the list.

My creative friend Cheryl

My dear friend who lived 5 minutes from my house moved almost an hour across the island (I KNOW!  You practically have to drive all the way around the island to go that far!!).  It was a huge effort – the house she bought Needed Work.  I helped her some, but mostly provided moral support.

A couple of days ago her thank-you card arrived in the mail:

Cheryl's New House

You would have to see her house to know how absolutely perfect this is.  It’s such a creative card, with the roof cut out of the card front.  The front door even opens – see?

Lookin' in the front door at Cheryl's

The best part is that she didn’t use DSP inside the door…she used a leftover scrap of the shelf paper I put on every single shelf and drawer in her kitchen.  Yes, I noticed right away!!  I’ll tell you, I know that paper well.  I loved that she included it in the card.

I’ve been out to visit…it’s lovely…out in the country…but it’s pretty far away.   I’m not known for my love of driving, but I’ll be making an exception for Cheryl.

You’ve got a friend

Today’s post is an auto post, set earlier in the week to post today.  Today is the day my oldest daughter leaves for Australia.  Her dad and I are really happy for her, but it’s very  hard to say goodbye.  It’s going to be a tough day.

This week, my friends have been so supportive, calling and asking how I’m doing.  They don’t let me get too emotional, and they assure me they’ll be there for me next week.  I have wonderful, generous, loving friends.  I am so grateful for them.

Kind and wonderful friends

  • Vintage Vogue stamp set and Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel
  • Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede, Ruby Red and Mellow Moss card stock
  • Soft Suede, Ruby Red, Mellow Moss and Sahara Sand Classic ink pads
  • Button Latte, Linen Thread and Paper Snips
  • Big Shot and the Backgrounds I Texturz plates

I prefer to sew my buttons on whenever possible.  They stick pretty well with glue dots, but I like the authenticity of sewing them on, and they don’t come off unless you really yank on them.

Thanks, friends.
