If you’ve been waiting for the Git ‘er Done tag, this is your lucky day:
Stamps: Merry Patterns (Host Exclusive October and November)
Color Palette: Whisper White, Basic Black, Old Olive
Accessories: Ornate Tag Topper Punch (retired), Merry Little Christmas DSP, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Stampin’ Write Markers
This is punch, stamp, stamp, stick, draw, done! The Merry Patterns stamp set is really easy to align (one of The Very Best Features of photopolymer stamps!) and it’s forgiving if you’re slightly off, too. I made narrow strips of Multipurpose-Adhesive-Sheet-backed DSP and it was super fast to stick them on the bottom of the tag. I used a Stampin’ Write marker to draw lines on either side of the DSP strip instead of layering with card stock – it’s so narrow you don’t even see it.
I did a version of these in Real Red, but I wasn’t quick enough with my camera and they’re all out the door!
I like a variety of tags: whimsical, traditional, and a few classy ones for those classy friends (you know the ones!). My first version of this tag was okay, but then the Muse stepped in and this happened:
It’s really pretty simple, but that’s how classy things are. Agreed?
Color Palette: Real Red, Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Circles Framelits, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Real Red 1/8″ ribbon
I bought the Hello Friend stamp set for this wreath and it was worth every cent. Merry Patterns was a Host Exclusive stamp set offered this fall. It’s no longer available, but if you’re lucky enough to have it, get out your Paper Snips and invest in the fussy cutting on this one – you’ll be glad you did.
If you don’t have Merry Patterns, there is a Plan B. (Note: there is ALWAYS a Plan B)Â I cut a narrow strip of Crumb Cake cards stock and stamped a sentiment on it. It seemed a bit plain, so I indulged in a bit of doodling to dress it up. I added a ribbon/linen thread bow and some diahmohnds (that’s how the fancy girls say it) and I think it works!
But there is no doubt that I like the first one better.
Stampin’ Up! is bringing October in with a BANG! DSP is a quick and high impact way to add punch to your projects, and now it’s more affordable than ever! Choose from your favorites below and enjoy the savings:
To go with all of that gorgeous DSP, Stampin’ Up! is celebrating World Card Making day with 10 days of savings on notecards and select stamp sets. You’re sure to find some favorites here. And if you’re on the fence regarding Fast Fuse, take this opportunity to jump down and embrace it! It’s my absolute adhesive of choices (well, except for Tombo the Wonder Adhesive, but that’s for little bits of things). Fast Fuse is easy to use and it sticks like nobody’s business. There’s a small learning curve as you develop the motion to get it to release at the end, but I’m telling you, my friends, THIS is the stuff to use!! Stock up – the savings are HUGE – and thank me later.
If you’re like me, your October order is starting to look pretty good….good enough that perhaps with a bit of help (and perhaps not) you’ll be looking at a $300 order with Host Benefits AND an absolutely free holiday stamp set called Merry Patterns. It’s ONLY available as a Host promotion through the end of October, and all of these savings opportunities mean you’ll get so much more to go with it!
