ALONG THESE LINES: BIKES

I received Along These Lines as a Prize Patrol at #OnStage2025Brisbane. I’ll confess that initially, I was not especially excited about the images. But of course, it was a gift, and I was happy to have it – and when I started to think about how I might use it, I felt inspired.

  • Stamps: Along These Lines, With You in Mind
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Poppy Parade, Gray Granite, Basic Black
  • Accessories: Stampin’ Blends, Masking Paper

I began by cutting a few masks of the bike. Next I stamped a couple of images, masked them, and stamped a couple more. I wanted the feeling of a race, but without racers – just the bikes.

I added just a little emphasis with the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend around the wheels and handlebars. My pop of color was the seat to help each bike stand out.

I want to try this again with multiple colors for the seat, and perhaps with another monochromatic color. I’m thinking I’ll try Azure Afternoon or Crushed Curry – what do you think?

You’ll find Along These Lines – along with a lot of other new products – in the Online Store.

Onstage 2025 in Brisbane

The past month has been absolutely glorious. Mr. MauiStamper and I have been traveling in the South Pacific – first to the beautiful South Island of New Zealand, and then Australia – with our firstborn and her partner. Last weekend, I took the train to Brisbane to attend OnStage 2025, the Stampin’ Up! Annual Crafting/Friendship/See-New-Stuff event. I can’t begin to put it all into one post.

Let’s start with Friendship. I’ve been chatting online with Lou Kitzelman (on the right) since 2018, and we got to meet in person at OnStage. She introduced me to Peta Stephens (on the left) on Thursday when I arrived. We had a FANTASTIC time together. These are my type of women: warm, friendly, kind, and slightly snarky. I didn’t have to worry about a thing: they made me an honorary Australian and I honestly feel as though we’ve been friends since forever. It was such a joy and privilege to spend OnStage with them.

One of the perks of going to an event like OnStage is seeing things in advance. Stampin’ Up! didn’t waste any time in handing out the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog, and even halted the presentations for 10 minutes or so to give us all a chance to take it in. Trust me, there is something for everyone in this edition, and it’s going to be a wonderful year as we explore every bit of it!

We previewed the 2025-2027 Stampin’ Up! In Colors and oh, my goodness, are we in for a treat! They’re all glorious, but you’re going to see a lot of Cloud Cover (that first light blue/grey tone) and Secret Sea (the third color, a deep, dark, almost-black-blue).

We saw lots of new products, too, and I’ll be sharing some here and some on Facebook. We’re not home yet, but we’ll there soon. Give me a little time to unpack and check out my garden and I’ll be back here soon.

In the meantime, enjoy the Sydney Harbor approach from aboard the return ferry from Manly Beach:

DAINTY DELIGHT SWAP

Have you ever participated in a swap? It’s one of the best ways I know to get new ideas – and to make new friends. There were multiple opportunities to swap at Stampin’ Up! leadership last month, and I took two different projects to share. Here’s the simpler one.

4 cards with similar designs in different colors. They each feature a flower spray and the text "thank you"
  • Stamps: Dainty Delight
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Basic Black, and either Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon, Moody Mauve or Wild Wheat
  • Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Deckle Rectangle dies, Basics 3D Embossing Folder, Black and White Gingham Ribbon, Stampin’ Write Markers, Basic Rhinestone Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Is it possible to make a card without Stampin’ Dimensionals? Asking for a friend. 😆

I used Stampin’ Write markers to color the buds and the Rhinestone Gems. The embossing folder you see in the corner of this photos is my absolute fave from the Basics 3D folders. I don’t know what to call it, but I know I love it! Wild Wheat has also slipped onto my list of favorites. I wasn’t a fan when I first saw it, but it has definitely grown on me.

I don’t like production, so I made these in sets of 8 and changed up the pop of color. They’re pretty simple cards, so they didn’t take long and were easy to do in batches.

I’m always grateful for your orders in the Online Store. Thank you for your support!

Which color is your favorite?

Goodies and Crafties and Santas, oh my!

The elves have been very busy – and on Saturday, we’re setting up our tables and hoping you’ll come shop with us! The 4th Annual Waikapu Gardens Christmas Street Fair is this Saturday from 8am until noon on Ulu Kanu Street. Santa will make an appearance, and the Maui High School choir will be filling the air with holiday music.

I’ve been a busy elf myself, making cards, gift packaging and a few small gifts for your shopping pleasure. These deluxe gift card holders are created to showcase your gift card and provide space for your handwritten note of appreciation:

Maui Stamper Stampin' Up! First Frost Deluxe Gift Card Holder

I’ve added a strip of adhesive to the back of the note card – just peel and stick your gift card. The envelope is a beautiful, heavy weight foiled paper from a few years ago that I’ve had stashed.  I should have made these a long time ago!

The Merry Merlot band slides smoothly over the envelope to create a smooth, elegant finish to your gift.

If you’re on Maui this weekend, stop by and see us!  Shop local, shop your community!

Shelli and Sterling visit Maui

Last Saturday, while I was on Oahu with Mr. Maui Stamper, my phone blew up with messages from my downline Cheryl and my upline Crystal. Shelli and Sterling Gardner were on Maui and wanted to meet with Maui demonstrators!! You can imagine our excitement – and tonight, the magic really happened:

Maui Stamper Stampin' Up! Sterling and Shelli visit Maui

This is our family tree: Crystal (left) is my upline, with Sterling, Shelli, yours truly, and Cheryl, my downline. Cheryl is the real celebrity in the group as she’s earned the Alaska Incentive trip this year – we are all really proud of her! Shelli joked that I was the Momma and Crystal was the Grandma. If only she knew…

Cheryl worked really hard to make the evening a wonderful event for her team, the Maui Big Shots.  Crystal and I felt so honored to be included! Sterling and Shelli are such genuine and warm people, and it was a lovely evening of conversation and great food.

There was a gift bag of Maui goodies for the Gardners, and we’re all wondering how they’re going to get it home – it ended up kind of heavy! They were so gracious about spending their vacation time with us, and let us pepper them with questions (Why do you retire things we love? What is Sterling’s Stampin’ Up! story? Tell us about the 30th anniversary celebration in Orlando!!)

It was a lovely evening, one we’ll all remember and treasure as a highlight of our Stampin’ Up! careers.  A hui hou, Shelli and Sterling – until we meet again.

The Retiring List – what’s a crafter to do?

2017 Retiring Header

I’ve had a little time to look through the list of products retiring from 2016-2017, and I have a few things to share with you. Products are selling out VERY QUICKLY, so don’t delay.  Here are a few things I consider noteworthy:

  • Bundles are retiring – in some cases, stamps will continue. Many have already sold out.

Hopping in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

I’m thrilled to be a part of the FIRST Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop – a collaboration of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world to support Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Let’s turn the blogosphere – and Pinterest – PINK!!

Maui Stamper First Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

Pink isn’t one of my go-to colors, so it’s a bit of a stretch for me to go All Pink.  I decided to play it safe and CASE myself, and I chose one of my all-time favorites to start:

Maui Stamper Botanical Blossoms Ultimate Pink Blog Hop 2016

I love the Botanical Blooms stamps and coordinating Botanical Builder Framelits.  One of my favorite things to do is to crank out a heap of floral pieces (there are 14 to choose from!) and keep moving them around until I’m happy.

This one made me happy!

Maui Stamper Botanical Blossoms Ultimate Pink Blog Hop 2016

I’ve used Whisper White, Shimmer White, Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, and Rose Red, with a smidge of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to add sparkle without sending Mr. Maui Stamper out on the “I HATE GLITTER” warpath.  A few Rhinestone Jewels add a little more sparkle, and this card is ready for anything!

Maui Stamper Botanical Blossoms Ultimate Pink Blog Hop 2016

Dress it up or dress it down – I’ll stamp a sentiment on the inside when I choose the occasion.  I keep a stash of blank cards for those moments when I realize I’m a day late and a dollar short (tell the truth, now…doesn’t that happen to all of us once in a while?)

Maui Stamper Botanical Blossoms Ultimate Pink Blog Hop 2016

Love You Lots is on the other end of the crafting spectrum – cute as a bug, I’d say!  This is a quick and simple card with a color palette of Whisper White, Basic Grey, Blushing Bride and a Wink Of Stella.  Do you Wink?  It’s another way of adding sparkle without a tragic Glitter outbreak, making Certain Members of my household very unhappy.

Maui Stamper Love You Lots Ultimate Pink Blog Hop 2016

A little Smoky Slate Stitched ribbon ties it all together {wink again!}

I hope you’ve enjoyed my venture into the World of Pink.  Keep in mind that our focus isn’t so much on the color, but on what it represents:  Breast Cancer Awareness.  Take care of your body.  Do your monthly self-exam.  Support your sisters who are fighting.  Contribute to an organization that funds research into learning more about this insidious disease.

And by all means, continue on the tour!  There are 70 stops – I hope you’ve got a big cup of coffee!

Join us as we Craft Pink for one day:

Maui Stamper World Card Making Day Specials October 1-5 2016

Maui Stamper Designer Series Paper Sale October 2016 Stampin Up

World Card Making Day 2016

Yes! World Card Making Day is a THING!  And anyone can make a card – beginning with a little bit of paper.  Nothing warms my heart like an envelope with my name across the front.  Tucked in with the bills, realtor solicitations, charity appeals, and credit card applications, a personal note really makes my day.  It’s not hard, and it doesn’t have to take a lot of time or money either!

Maui Stamper Floral Boutique Stampin' Up! Congrats

  • Stamps:  None (gasp)
  • Color Palette:  Whisper White, Night of Navy, Mint Macaron
  • Accessories:  Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper, Big Shot and Sunshine Wishes framelits, Pokey Doodle, Silver Thread

I love the look of blue and white, especially the classic look of (Night of) Navy and white.  The Floral Boutique DSP has a great variety of designs and they are all Navy and White!

Maui Stamper Floral Boutique Stampin' Up! Love

This very simple card using the same colors, paper and framelits with the addition of a few sequins.  Honestly?  I think I liked it better when it was just the DSP and the word!  I thought it was too simple, but sometimes less really is more.

Maui Stamper Floral Boutique Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday

Switching out Mint Macaron for Emerald Envy creates a different feeling, and I added images from the Petite Petals and Birthday Blossoms stamp sets.  None of these cards are especially complicated, and you could create a nice stash of cards in an afternoon using any of our Designer Series papers.

Maui Stamper Designer Series Paper Buy-3-Get-1-Free Sale October 2016

Stampin’ Up! Designer Series paper adds a quick and gorgeous punch to any project, and the part that just makes me sing is that it all coordinates.  Within each package, the papers coordinate with each other.  Written on each package, Stampin’ Up! lists the coordinating colors.  That means you’ll know exactly which card stock, ink, ribbon, enamel shape, sequin or embossing powder will coordinate perfectly with your Designer Series paper.  You can focus on being creative instead of worrying whether or not something will match!  DSP is a great value for the entire month of October – buy 3 packs and get one free.
