Stampin’ by…AppLight??

The Maui Stampers decided to try something new for our team meeting, and last night we met at Queen Ka’ahumanu Shopping center.  It provided a central location, plenty of tables, and a variety of “nutritional options”.  However, what we had failed to realize was that it was VERY short on light.

Nevertheless, once the business part was done we persevered with our project.  We were having a hard time seeing what we were doing when Crystal, being the brilliant girl she is, whipped out her phone and said “I’ve got an app for that!”

It did a good job, wouldn’t you say?

It clearly didn’t stop us from having a good time!!

Crystal spotted an electrical outlet and said next time she’ll bring her craft lamp.

An Annual Christmas Extravaganza!

It’s time for Anne and Crystal’s Christmas Extravaganza!!  Yep – ACCE is here!

We’re offering two classes on Saturday, October 27th at the Maui Masonic Lodge.  As always, your paid reservation holds your spot at the craft table.

First up:  Christmas Cards!

Cards class runs from 9am until noon.  You’ll make 2 of each card plus the Petite Pocket and two very sparkly tags.  Cost is $20 and includes envelopes and specialty adhesives, but you’ll need to bring your own Tombo or SNAIL to assemble the cards.  We will also have Tombo available for purchase on Saturday.

After lunch:  the Owl Suite!!

From 1 to 4pm we’ll make projects based on the Owl Occasions stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  You’ll craft a gift bag, two cards, an 8oz jelly-type jar, a covered Fancy Favor bag (not pictured) and another Petite Pocket with two more bling-bling tags!  Cost is $25 and includes all supplies except Tombo or SNAIL.

If you’re an All-Day kind of stamper, we’ll save you a couple of dollars – register for BOTH classes for $42.  Bring a friend and share the fun, or come by yourself and make new friends!  We have some great door prizes in store as well as chocolate and maybe even a Christmas song or two – hope to see you there!

Not quite the finish we expected

Our 4am wake-up call wasn’t pretty but we were on time for the shuttle to the airport. Our flight from Salt Lake into Seattle arrived a few minutes early and we were pretty pleased with ourselves until I picked up my voicemail.

Our flight into Maui was delayed in spectacular fashion. Our 10:50am departure was now scheduled for 4:50pm.

Can you say “ugh” with me?

We were given breakfast vouchers with a promise of more towards lunch. We “shopped” in the airport – Seattle actually has a pretty nice retail environment – and then headed to the gate. We’ve been sitting here for a couple of hours trying to be productive.

I can hardly wait to get on the plane for 5 hours. Wish I had some paper, ink and stamps. Oh! I do have stamps. I would never check my new sets from convention. They’re in my carry-on. Let’s see…catsup, mustard and shoyu…what do you think of those new “In Colors”?

Stampin’ Hats

Stampers do some pretty crazy things to find each other in the crowd. After a couple of days I started taking photos of the interesting hats I saw. I’m not sure I would wear one myself, but they were a great source of entertainment! I know I didn’t get them all, but the ones I was able to photograph were priceless:

The Bize Bees

Not sure who this group was, but there were a lot of them!

This woman told us her hat had been to 12 conventions with her

Just a couple more

A few more Artisan boards…

A Little More Amazingness

I had a chance to see some of the Artisan Award winners work today and sharing the photos with your understanding that I’m using a camera phone to facilitate the upload. What that means is that the quality is, well, camera phone quality, ok?

I thought you might forgive me.

Amazing Inspiration

Don’t know how but I think I just deleted my last convention post. If you saw something different a while ago you’re not crazy!

We are having a great time. The day is full of fun, learning and inspiration. There are so many things to tell but I have just a couple of minutes to share some of the incredible product sample boards. I’ll try to add more later. No fancy formatting just the pix, ok?

This was our time

We went to a 70’s party tonite at convention. We didn’t have the best costume but we were pretty fine. There were a lot of far out women having a groovy time and we were right there. The music was awesome. We knew every song, and yes, we sang along.

Check out this attitude:
