Colour challenges are a lot of fun, but I often end up scratching my head as I begin. My starting point is generally a stamp set, not a colour set, so it throws me off a bit. CI #193 isn’t a traditional set of Halloween colours, but after a few false starts, I got them to work.
Stamps: Spooky Halloween
Color Palette: Basic White, Cloud Cover, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Memento Black
It’s a small detail, but I cut off the cat’s paw and arranged it on top of the broom because the original looked unnatural. And there’s Stella on all of the Memento Black elements, because every Halloween card needs a little sparkle!
Here’s the INKpiration photo – how do you think I did? I had fun, and in my book, that’s the most important thing.
Everyone needs a friend who loves Halloween. Around here, we know that Robbie will never disappoint:
Robbie puts so much love into the things she makes, and Halloween is her jam, er, Jack-o-Lantern! And there are no yucky candies in there either. No ma’am, those are the Real Deal.
She’s also our Hand-Sanitizer source. I’m not usually the “hang-it-from-my-handbag” girl, but I am making an exception for this blingy, swingy little ghost!
Thanks, Robbie – you make me feel like a kid again! 👻

The Trick or Treat bundle features lots of cute Halloween images, but the secret bonus is that the dies include a treat box. I can never get enough packaging options! 😁
Stamps: Trick or Treat
Color Palette: Basic White, Pebble Path, Moody Mauve, Bubble Bath
Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Trick or Treat dies, Deckle Rectangle dies, 23-25 In Color DSP, Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon, Pebble Path Jute Trim, Stampin’ Dimensionals
A soft pink isn’t exactly a traditional Halloween color, but then again, this little ghost doesn’t look like the Scary-Boo sort and Bubble Bath seems like just the right shade for her “Boo”A soft pink isn’t exactly a traditional Halloween color, but then again, this little ghost doesn’t look like the Scary-Boo sort and Bubble Bath seems like just the right shade for her “Boo”.
Everything was cut with one pass through the Big Boss except for the treat box, and the DSP is just the right weight to send through with two sheets at once. This little project goes together quickly!
(I know, I say that a lot. It’s a big deal when I find something quick and easy, because I tend to operate under the “more is more” umbrella a bit too often.)
All ready for Halloween treats – but I can’t buy those until the morning of the 31st. And I have to buy something I don’t especially like, for reasons I think are pretty obvious. When do you get your Halloween treats?
If you need a quick gifting solution for Trick or Treat, shop the Online Store.

Don’t you love a big, round pumpkin? I’d prefer to look at one all month versus a jack-o-lantern, so I chose Hello Harvest for my October 2022 DIY calendar:
Stamps: Harvest Hello
Color Palette: Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Basic White
I took a chance and stamped the pumpkin with Cajun Craze ink. We recommend Memento to work with Stampin’ Blends because it doesn’t run, so I had to be careful not to overdo my brush strokes over the stamped portion of the image. I was feeling a little rebellious 😉
I inked up the leaves and then stamped them off. I chose the ones I liked best to die cut and added them with the swirly bits. The pumpkin is on dimensionals, and a few gems add some sparkle.
I began with Daffodil in the belly of the pumpkin to get that warm glow, then worked my way out with Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze. This is a very satisfying image to color – I recommend it!
Please take a moment to see what my dear friends Crystal and Cheryl have done for October 2022. We really enjoy sharing these calendars with you every month, and we hope you enjoy seeing them!

I am a word nerd. (Yes, I WORDLE.) So when I discovered the collective noun for bats is CAULDRON, I had to tell everyone I knew. Well, I started out by telling my family in our group chat, and now I’m telling all of you, so I think that’s everyone!
Stamps: Design a Treat
Color Palette: Black and White
Accessories: Big Boss, Design a Treat dies, Perfectly Penciled DSP (and a few sheets of retired B&W), Amber Gems, Tear n Tape (TnT)
Those Amber Gems from the Rustic Harvest Suite give the perfect spooky stare, don’t they? And that cute little tag is not only part of the Design a Treat dies, but there are THREE of them!! And since our Basic White card stock is a little lighter weight than standard card stock, you can cut two at once – which means I was cutting 6 in one crank of the Big Boss!!!
It just so happens that two Hershey Nuggets fit perfectly inside these little boxes. They’re sturdiest when assembled with a little bit of Tear n Tape on the flaps. I experimented with card stock and with dies for the boxes, and while card stock closes more securely across the top, the DSP is much cuter. I cut the batty tops from card stock, and they sit quite firmly across the top, keeping it closed. The advantage of using that batty top is that there’s no adhesive, so the box doesn’t have to be ripped open to enjoy the contents.
I really did make a Cauldron’s worth – this isn’t even half! They’re a single Big Boss cut to produce (run the batty bit at the same time) and they assemble easily. They’re a perfect table favor, office treat, or Halloween decoration. Find them HERE and you’ll have your own Cauldron in a FLASH 💥 (Don’t forget the TnT)

You know that friend…the one who always knows? I have a friend like that, and she’s in one of my regular stamping groups. She always has little favors for every holiday, but since we’ve been meeting and stamping on Zoom she hasn’t been able to share them. Yesterday I found a package in my mailbox:
Oh, da cute!!! Some is current, some is retired, but there are just so many goodies and so much detail. LOOK:
LOOK. AT. THE. TIC. TACS.
Oh. Emm. Gee. They’re just adorable!
Way before Covid and Pandemics and Masks and ALL THAT, Robbie was the Queen of the little bitty hand sanitizer. I’m sure she must have had to stand in line for hours, days maybe, to get these for all of us. But that’s the kind of friend she is, and you’d better believe I will be using this gift!

The Curvy Keepsake die in its first form (slightly larger than this one) was one of my favorites, but I confess that it was expensive to fill a big batch of them with treats (I like expensive chocolate, lol.) This Mini Curvy Keepsake die is perfectly sized for exactly ONE Ferrero Rocher. Did I say it was perfect?
We have Googly Eyes!! And not just white ones, but green ones and orange ones and purple ones!!! Be still my heart.
This guy is really fun, too. But trust me, really, when I say you NEED the Stamparatus for him. Solid images, especially solid black images, almost require being stamped more than once. Now I don’t know about you, but my eyes aren’t sharp enough and my hands aren’t steady enough to pull this off. But I can do it with the Stamparatus!
I think it’s hilarious that the mummy is giving the side-eye to the left and Vampy is doing it to the right. What a pair.
If you’re ready to invite these two spooky guys into your home (say it like the old wild and crazy guys skit from SNL), shop HERE.
It’s always exciting when a new catalog goes live, but this Holiday catalog is really something special! There are great new products, fantastic kits, and truly something for every crafter.

Doesn’t seem like that long ago when September and early October were all about costumes. There were a number of years when the costume had to come from Disney du jour. There were sessions with the tape measure, trips to the fabric store, and hours spent behind the sewing machine. As the kids got older, their costumes needed to reflect their growing maturity and the home-made Disney costumes became a thing of the past. Sweet memories.
The Pocahontas Ensembles
Now the sweets come from packages. My kids’ candy never looked this good! It’s simple, though I’m not sure I would have done this for 3 classes of 25 kids!
