COLOUR INKSPIRATION #210: GUEST DESIGNER!

It took me a while to decide where to start as I love all five 26-28 In Colours. I ultimately chose to begin with Crisp Cantaloupe, as it’s a returning colour from the 2013-2015 Palette. Anyone else who has been around that long??

Flowers Fair can be used so many ways. Here I’ve coloured it, then cut it with one of the arch dies. Stampin’ Blends are my favorite way to colour these images, but you could use Watercolour Pencils, Blending Brushes, Watercolour, or even daubers to fill in the colour.

I decided to emboss the greeting with White Embossing Powder on a Peaceful Pine panel. I’m happy with the way the embossing makes the greeting “pop” on the card front.

Take a look at what the Design Team has created for this great colour challenge. If you’ve never played along, I hope you’ll give it a try! You can’t go wrong with such a gorgeous set of colours.

*Although I’m in the US and the standard spelling is “COLOR”, I’ve chosen to use the alternative spelling of “COLOUR” in recognition of the group identity. I’m sure you can make the translation. 😆

Creative Uses for Two Tone Card Stock

I’m still exploring ways to use our Two Tone Card Stock, but tearing has become one of my favorite techniques. I love seeing the white core and the rough edge, and it’s a perfect match for the Rolling Waves Bundle.

I LOVE Crumb Cake paired with just about any blue, and it really sings with Cloud Cover. Add in a literal splash 💦 of white, and I think it’s just perfect.

The Two Tone Card Stock has been torn, alternated light and dark, and stamped. I started with a 4″ x 4″ square and just let ‘er rip!

This is a great tropical or coastal card, and we have a lot of colors that would work as the ocean or even a lake. Grab an assortment of Two Tone Card Stock and have some fun! All products are available in the Online Store.

DIY CALENDAR BLOG HOP: MARCH 2026 ROLLING WAVES

Hi there DIY Calendar fans! We’re glad you’ve come back this month to see our projects. For March, I’m sharing something from the about-to-be-released March 2026 Online Exclusives – Rolling Waves.

  • Stamps: Rolling Waves
  • Color Palette: Basic White, Crumb Cake, Cloud Cover, Lost Lagoon
  • Accessories: DIY Calendar Template, Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine, Rolling Waves dies

Rolling Waves was at the top of my list with this new release. I love the options for creating beach scenes, but I have some other visions for those waves floating around in my head. Stay tuned!

I’m playing with another idea. The DIY Calendar team has a calendar Pinterest Board, and I’ve been wondering if all of you might like a place to share your calendars. What do you think? Shall I create a public board for DIY Calendars on Pinterest? Comment on this post to share your thoughts.

Come back on Tuesday, and THIS LINK will take you to the Online Exclusives page. (It takes you there now, but the new release won’t show up until March 3rd.) There are some gorgeous new products coming in March!

Click the button to travel through the Blog Hop and see what Sharon and Cheryl have created this month. Thanks for stopping by!
